We all get comfortable in our routines and the habits we develop and build upon to feel safe in our existence. However, every pattern must be interrupted if something new is to come forth.
You may be a person who likes doing things a certain way because of the predictability it provides you with. You may have experienced a lot of uncertainty in your upbringing, and this created in you a desire to do your best to provide yourself with a sense of certainty in what you do now.
A break or interruption to your regular patterns may affect you more than most for this reason. However, it is ok to open yourself up now to the changes that are being presented to you, and the uncertainties this will bring up.
Predictability can foster a sense of security, but it can also stagnate and trap, if we don’t know how to break apart cycles that we’ve outgrown to welcome in new things.
